Teacher Bucket Cover Gift Set

Please accept my apologies for my lack in posting lately, I'm computer is S-L-O-W-L-Y dying! It's pretty old and it doesn't have a lot of memory, so needless to say, I think it's done with. I can't click on any links, so it takes forever and whole bunch of un-lady like words to do anything, including reading my e-mail. My plan is to buy a new one next week. I'm also trying to finish up some orders and organize my craft table to get rock-n-rolling on non winter/christmas stuff.

This is a special order that I made for one of my followers, Kim. She owns a gift shop in Spring Hill, Florida called Kim's Korner. If you are in the Spring Hill area, make sure you stop by. This set comes with a teacher themed bucket cover, mug cozy and a matching note pad. The sweet little girl on the notepad is from My Favorite Things, Pure Innocence-Emma and Her Backpack.

Speaking of My Favorite Things...the tissue box cover that I made for my Mom was featured on their blog for Favorite Finds. Thank you to Kim for including me on this special list!

Tissue Box

I made this tissue box for my Mom. She said that all she wanted was a tissue box to match her bathroom/bedroom. You can find the tutorial for them here on Splitcoast. I love to use die cuts, they are just the coolest. How did we get along with out them? I used the My Favorite Things Die-Namics, Framed Greetings, for the sentiment.

Supplies:
Stamps: My Favorite Things Die-Namics**Framed Greetings
Ink: Versafine
Paper: Bazzill, Graphic 45
Misc: Prima flowers, half pearls, pop up dots, nestabilities, tissue box, MS paper punch

Diane, the author of the tutorial, said that the cover fits the Kleenex brand tissue box. I used Target brand tissues and fit just fine.

Merry Christmas from the Swamp!

When I announced to my friends that I was moving to Florida, they told me I would have to pick sides. I wasn't sure what that meant. It turns out that in Florida, they LOVE college football! The first friend I made here in Lakeland, is a sweet lady named Teresa. She was my trainer at work, and we have become the best of friends. Teresa told me that her twin grandsons play for the University of Florida. My nephew, Joe, loves the Gators and has dreamed of playing football with them. Teresa's grandsons gave him a newspaper article and championship t-shirt signed by themselves and many of their teammates. It was probably the sweetest thing anyone could have done, especially since they had never met him. She is the proud grandmother of Michael and Markice Pouncey. Michael has continued to play for the University of Florida, but Markice was drafted to play for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He is the center and has been a starter this entire season. Now, while I am a die hard true blue New England Patriot fan, I also cheer for Markice and the Steelers. Except, of course, when they play the Patriots!

I made this little tree for my brother-in-law, who is also an alumnus of the University of Florida. I found it in the dollar spot at Target. I made the ornaments using stickers and UF scrapbook paper.

I hope everyone has had a happy holiday. My Dad sent me a Boston Celtics toaster. It toasts the bread with a shamrock on it. My Mom gave me cash towards the new computer that I am going to buy. Laura gave me an espresso maker and our brother, Richard, sent down some Red Sox knitted caps!

Well, I'm off to have some toast and cappuccino!

Deck The Halls With Cups Of Coffee...

I know that everyone is scrambling to finish their holiday preparations. Here is another quick and easy gift idea. I found the directions for the cup holder on Mushi's Creative Inspirations. You can find it here. I covered up two disposable coffee cups with designer paper. The sentiment is computer generated. The stamped image is from Darcie's Country Folk. A little chunky glitter, liquid applique, and stickles brightened up this cute little snowman. I filled the coffee cups with candy and a Starbucks Gift Card. You could also put those little Starbucks Via packets in there as well.

Supplies:
Stamps: Darcie's Country Folk
Paper: K & Company, Bo Bunny, Bazzill, Colorbok
Ink: Memento
Misc: Disposable coffee cups, liquid applique, stickles, chunky glitter, half pearls , pop up dots, copics, paper punches, diamond glaze, scor-pal, sticky strip

All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge: Gift Ideas

(EDIT: I have been busy sewing more bucket covers for my Etsy shop. I will be posting them later tonight and tomorrow morning. They are perfect for that last minute Christmas Gift!)

I found this wicked awesome nugget tin on Splitcoast. I knew that I HAD to case it! Then, I noticed that the Weekly Wednesday Challenge at All That Scraps was to make a gift. So, I decided to use the sweet digital image, from All That Scraps, Neva to enter the challenge.

I printed Neva out on white card stock and colored her in with Copics. Glitter was added to the snowflake. The nuggets were wrapped with designer paper from My Mind's Eye Countdown to Christmas Stack. I wrapped a double piece of white tulle around the nugget tin, attached Neva with pop up dots, and added paper punch snowflakes and rhinestones to the bow.

Supplies:
Stamp: All That Scraps-Neva (digital)
Paper: Bazzill, My Mind's Eye
Misc: Copics, paper punches, tulle, rhinestones, nugget tin, pop up dots, nuggets, glitter

I've been using a lot of my Papertrey Ink stamp sets lately. Here is another quick and easy little gift idea. These small penny candy style jars can be found in the wedding/baby shower aisles at Michaels and Joann Fabrics. I bought mine at Joann's. Using the Christmas Tiny Treats set, I was able to make up all of these jars in no time at all. What a nice surprise to leave on a co-workers desk, your favorite teacher, or at your holiday table. The jars hold just a small amount of candy, so you won't over indulge!
