Happy Halloween!!!!!

Happy Halloween!!!!  Today is a great day filled with scary movies, candy, crafting and I have the day off, whoo hoo!!!

Not to mention, something wonderful happened last night:

I'm so proud of my boys and their beards for winning the World Series last night!  Oh my goodness, this was definitely a nerve racking series.  The Cardinals, not to mention the Tigers before them, certainly gave us a run for our money!  Shout out to both of those great teams, it was certainly an honor to play with you.

So, here is one last Halloween Treat for you:

These were made using little lunch sacks.  I cut a circle out of each one, using Nestabilities, and adhered a piece of clear acetate inside.    Then, I added a piece of My Mind's Eye Wicked designer paper.

I made some tiny banners using jute, washi tape, and scraps of designer paper.  Then, I embellished the tiny banners with some tiny clothespins, paper punched pumpkins and bats, word stickers, and some tiny button spiders.

Supplies:
Paper:  My Mind's Eye, American Crafts, Echo Park, Bazzill
Misc:  Jute, buttons, Making Memories Spider Die, washi tape, clear acetate, paper punches, small lunch sacks, tiny clothespins, candy, paper shred, Nestabilities, pop up dots

Have a spooky night and thanks for stopping by,

If The Shoe Fits

One of the ladies in my Mom's knitting group needed a birthday card for one of her friends.  It needed to be a shoe card and she likes purple.

After searching my favorite place....Pinterest.....I decided that I would make a shaped card.  I had sketched a shoe to make a "hinged" type card.  It has the normal back of the card, but the front is just the shoe that opens up so she can write a sentiment.

To personalize the card, I used the My Favorite Things Fish Tail Pennants Die-Namics to make the banner.  Tiny flowers were paper punched, adhered, and finished off with some Liquid Pearls for the centers.  A larger flower made with Nestabilities and a button finished the card up.

Supplies:
Stamps:  JoAnn Fabrics-Alphabet
Ink:  Versafine
Paper:  MME Sweet Caroline, Bazzill
Misc:  Baker's twine, Liquid Pearls, button, Nestabilities, paper punch, pop up dots, My Favorite Things Fish Tail Pennant Die-Namics

Best Witches Banner

Just another Halloween Banner!

I did the usual, use my Cricut to cut out the letters and each of the banner flags.  Nestabilities were used to cut the vellum that was adhered to the flags with pop up dots.

The witch faces were made using my Cricut and a variety of paper punches.  The hair was made using some green ric-rak.  I added a few paper punched glitter spiders for a "creepy" but cute look.

This banner is actually two separate banners.  Each one of the flags is approximately 5 1/2 inches by 7 inches.  The letters are approximately 3 1/2 inches tall.

The flags are connected with some black tulle.  The top banner measures approximately 33 inches long, the bottom banner is approximately 38 1/2 inches long.

Supplies:
Paper:  Echo Park, Recollections, Bazzill
Ink:  Memento
Misc:  Paper punches, googley eyes, pop up dots, ric-rak, Cricut Pretty Pennants Cartridge, Cricut Paper Doll Dress Up Cartridge, Cricut Alphalicious Cricut Cartridge, black tulle

Catered Crop Orange Is The New Black Recipe Quick Fire

I was so excited that I won the Catered Crop Canning Jar Recipe Swap!  I just love everything that Linda does, so it is quite an honor to be picked not once, but now twice!

For this week's recipe swap, we had to use orange.  Well, since Halloween is one of my favorite holidays (after 4th of July and Veterans' Day), this was an easy one.  My two fur babies, or as my sister affectionately refers to them as "Two Tons of Fun", always like to be involved in the crafting process.  If they are not laying down on my projects or sticking their back sides in my face, they are running off with supplies!  So, I decided to make something inspired by them.

Using a little orange pumpkin from Target, I made a cat head.  The ears were cut out of American Crafts  Halloween paper.  The eyes were made using a variety of paper punches.  The nose was cut using a heart Nestability and some glitter card stock.  Whiskers were made using some black wire.

I used a jar and filled it with some orange candy, some pumpkins and peanut butter cups.

Black tulle was wrapped around the jar and tied into a fluffy bow.  A tag was made using some orange and black washi tapes.  It is complimented with some orange Baker's Twine and a button spider.

Supplies:
Stamps:  Papertrey Ink-Boo To You
Ink:  Versafine, Memento
Paper:  American Crafts, Bazzill, Recollections
Misc:  Plastic jar, candy, baker's twine, button spider, wire, paper punches, pop up dots, tag, black tulle, washi tape, Nestabilities, hot glue gun, small pumpkin

Make sure to go check out all of the great creations over at Catered Crop, you won't be disappointed!

Catered Crop Canning Jar Recipe Swap

I decided to participate in the Catered Crop Canning Jar Recipe Swap.

The requirements for this recipe swap are:

"For this challenge you can use a canning Jar (Mason, Kerr, Ball, etc.) and fill it, alter it, tag it, decorate it . . . what ever you want to do. Or you can create a card (or scrapbook page) with a canning jar on the card."

I decided to use Papertrey Ink Friendship Jar and Fall Fillers for my card.  The candy corn was colored with Copics.  The jar topper was stamped, paper pieced, and fussy cut.  Then I attached with pop up dots and tied a bow with some baker's twine.

I made some tiny spiders using the Memory Box Scary Spiders Die.  I cut them out using some glitter paper and then glued on some tiny buttons for their bodies.

Supplies:
Stamps:  Papertrey Ink-Friendship Jar, Friendship Jar Fall Fillers, Boo To You
Paper:  American Crafts, Bazzill, Recollections
Ink:  Versafine, Versacolor
Misc:  Buttons, baker's twine, Copics, pop up dots, ribbon, library card
