Warm Winter Birthday Wishes

I hope everyone had a nice Christmas.  As usual, I didn't get everything done that I wanted to get done, so I am still working on cards and stuff!

This is one of my favorite cards on one of my many Pinterest boards.

It's from Michelle Wooderson's blog, Mish Mash.   You can find all the details in her post here.

I decided to make it into a tag instead of card.  My Mom's birthday is in January, so I thought this would be perfect to attach to her gift.

Hanukkah Catch Up!

Well, Hanukkah ends tomorrow night and I'm a little slow in getting my projects posted!

These are some little pillow boxes that I made with the Sizzix Pillow Box Die.  The tags were punched out with both vellum and coordinating designer paper.  Then, I stamped the vellum tags with some Stazon Black Ink.  Tiny Stars of David were paper punched to complete the tag.  These little pillow boxes match my Wintery Hanukkah Cards posted below.

Happy Hanukkah Banner

I've been working on my Hanukkah goodies.  Here is the banner I made.  I used the Alphalicious Cricut Cartridge, I always use it, but it's the only font cartridge I have!  Each panel is actually 5 different layers.  Using Nestabilities, I cut the first two layers, one in card stock and one in vellum.  The nest layer is a circle cut of white glitter cardstock.  Then, I cut each letter out three times, and layered them to give it a faux chipboard letter look.  Lots of layers, lots of pop up dots.....that's how I roll!

All of the panels are connected with some grosgrain ribbon.  I cut out some Stars of David out of metallic paper and then adhered them to every other panel.

Supplies:
Paper:  Papertrey Ink, Colorbok, Bazzill, Recollections
Misc:  Cricut Alphalicious Cartridge, Nestabilities, pop up dots, Cricut Craft Room Modern Hebrew Alphabet

Soccer Party Time!!

Happy Birthday to my Stepfather, Chuck!  Chuck is a huge soccer fan and one of the best coaches in the world!  So, for his birthday this year, I decided to a soccer theme.

First, a banner made using my Cricut.  I used the Alphalicious and Sports Mania Cartridge.  Each of the soccer balls was embellished with some silver stars cut with My Favorite Things Star Die-Namics.

Next a Hershey Miniatures cake.  I couldn't find any cute soccer paper, so I just improvised using this Bo-Bunny paper and some soccer ball stickers.  The cake topper looks like a Mickey Mouse head, but it's not supposed to!  I cut the circles out using a variety of Nestabilities.  A paper punched heart accents the sentiment that was stamped using one of my favorite Dandelion Designs stamps.

Chuck loves cupcakes, so I made some cupcake toppers.  Unfortunately, I don't have a picture of the cupcakes.  We celebrated his birthday the day he and Mom and to take me (at the crack of dawn) for a test at the surgery center.  Needless to say, I was nervous, cranky, tired, and hungry, and I didn't  take a picture with the cupcakes.  But they were really good.

To transport his cupcakes home, and future ones that I will make for him, I bought a cake carrier at Walmart for just under $6.00.  For my first time cutting vinyl, I personalized the cake carrier with my Cricut.  So, now when ever Chuck wants cupcakes, he just needs to bring his carrier back, and I will fill it back up for him.

The carrier was very big and it was hard to take a picture showing the finished product, so I had to take it in three pictures:

Chuck and my Mom were quite pleased with it.  I had the banner hanging on the wall, and Chuck took it down very quickly and wanted to go home immediately to hang it up in his home office.  It was very sweet.

Supplies:
Stamp:  Dandelion Designs-It's Your Birthday!!
Paper:  Bo Bunny, Bazzill, Colorbok
Ink:  Versafine
Misc:  Vinyl, stickers, star paper punch, star Die-Namics, ribbon, pop up dots, cake carrier, Cricut, Alphalicious and Sports Mania Cartridges, straws

Are you ready for some football?!!  I am, it's Monday, my boys are playing tonight, and I have the night off!!!  Whooo hoooo!!!!!

Happy Halloween!!!!!

Happy Halloween!!!!  Today is a great day filled with scary movies, candy, crafting and I have the day off, whoo hoo!!!

Not to mention, something wonderful happened last night:

I'm so proud of my boys and their beards for winning the World Series last night!  Oh my goodness, this was definitely a nerve racking series.  The Cardinals, not to mention the Tigers before them, certainly gave us a run for our money!  Shout out to both of those great teams, it was certainly an honor to play with you.

So, here is one last Halloween Treat for you:

These were made using little lunch sacks.  I cut a circle out of each one, using Nestabilities, and adhered a piece of clear acetate inside.    Then, I added a piece of My Mind's Eye Wicked designer paper.

I made some tiny banners using jute, washi tape, and scraps of designer paper.  Then, I embellished the tiny banners with some tiny clothespins, paper punched pumpkins and bats, word stickers, and some tiny button spiders.

Supplies:
Paper:  My Mind's Eye, American Crafts, Echo Park, Bazzill
Misc:  Jute, buttons, Making Memories Spider Die, washi tape, clear acetate, paper punches, small lunch sacks, tiny clothespins, candy, paper shred, Nestabilities, pop up dots

If The Shoe Fits

One of the ladies in my Mom's knitting group needed a birthday card for one of her friends.  It needed to be a shoe card and she likes purple.

After searching my favorite place....Pinterest.....I decided that I would make a shaped card.  I had sketched a shoe to make a "hinged" type card.  It has the normal back of the card, but the front is just the shoe that opens up so she can write a sentiment.

To personalize the card, I used the My Favorite Things Fish Tail Pennants Die-Namics to make the banner.  Tiny flowers were paper punched, adhered, and finished off with some Liquid Pearls for the centers.  A larger flower made with Nestabilities and a button finished the card up.

Supplies:
Stamps:  JoAnn Fabrics-Alphabet
Ink:  Versafine
Paper:  MME Sweet Caroline, Bazzill
Misc:  Baker's twine, Liquid Pearls, button, Nestabilities, paper punch, pop up dots, My Favorite Things Fish Tail Pennant Die-Namics

Best Witches Banner

Just another Halloween Banner!

I did the usual, use my Cricut to cut out the letters and each of the banner flags.  Nestabilities were used to cut the vellum that was adhered to the flags with pop up dots.

The witch faces were made using my Cricut and a variety of paper punches.  The hair was made using some green ric-rak.  I added a few paper punched glitter spiders for a "creepy" but cute look.

This banner is actually two separate banners.  Each one of the flags is approximately 5 1/2 inches by 7 inches.  The letters are approximately 3 1/2 inches tall.

The flags are connected with some black tulle.  The top banner measures approximately 33 inches long, the bottom banner is approximately 38 1/2 inches long.

Supplies:
Paper:  Echo Park, Recollections, Bazzill
Ink:  Memento
Misc:  Paper punches, googley eyes, pop up dots, ric-rak, Cricut Pretty Pennants Cartridge, Cricut Paper Doll Dress Up Cartridge, Cricut Alphalicious Cricut Cartridge, black tulle
