So, I've been AWOL for a while, even thought my New Year's Resolution was to be a better blogger! But, it's been for a very good reason! A new position (actually there were four) was created at work. It would be a step up/promotion for me, and my immediate supervisor thought it would be a great opportunity for me. It was a very popular job listing, and the competition was extremely fierce! So, I spent many days/nights working and preparing for my interview. I made handouts and even used some of my best "Beth-A-Palooza" crafty skills for some incentive prizes for different contests. After much sweat, blood, and tears, my hard work paid off and I was offered one of the positions! It truly was an honor to be picked, and now I am with a great team of "girls" (we all just happen to be female) that work great together. I was definitely sad to leave my venue, it was a great place. Since I was the official bulletin board/contest designer/prize maker and crafty person, I wanted to help get the bulletin boards together for the upcoming months. I only had a week or so between the two positions, so I "Cricut-ed" my heart out and got most of it done! I still have a few more things to do, but I got the bulk of it done, and I am confident that I can finish the rest of it up. This is my first position in probably 15 years that I haven't had to wear a uniform, so I had to borrow some clothes from my sister to wear to work while I start slowly creating a business casual wardrobe.
On to my card, I made this one for guess what....Mother's Day!! It's a rubber stamping, paper piecing, Copic coloring and die cutting conglomeration! I usually use brown shades for the hair, so I decided to practice with blonde colors.
