Happy Birthday Patriot Style!

It's Sunday, so that means it's time for some football.  One of the things I miss the most about New England (besides my Dad, of course) is the smell of fall and the way the sun starts to set on the football field.  I like to watch the the player's shadows on the field, it's really a neat thing.

Today is a perfect day to share some New England Patriot themed  birthday cards I made for my Dad and stepmother.  The little player and his cheerleader were cut using my Cricut.  I used my Papertrey Ink Modern Alphabet Dies to personalize each card.  My favorite stamp company, Dandelion Designs, provided the perfect sentiment.

Supplies:
Stamps:  Dandelion Designs-it's your birthday!!
Ink:  Papertrey Ink
Paper:  Bazzill, Recollections, NFL Scrapbook Paper
Misc:  Cricut, Create A Friend Cricut Cartridge, pop up dots, paper punches, rhinestone, half pearls, Papertrey Ink Modern Alphabet Dies

Are you ready for some football?.....I am!

Germs Are Scary!!!!

I found these ginormous bottles of hand sanitizer at Target on the clearance rack (a few years ago!)  and decided to dress them up for Halloween.  I had originally planned to use the Frankenstein's Face cut from the Cricut Store, but I couldn't find any green vinyl anywhere.  When I want to do something, I tend to want to do it now, so I'm not a patient person who can wait to get something online!  I had the black, white, and silver vinyl to do most of the face, but then I just made a half oval mouth in the Cricut Craft Room.  I moved the stitches to over his eye, so hopefully will no one will notice that he does not have a nose!

For the tag, I downloaded the sentiment from Eighteen25.  I cut it out and mounted it on a rectangle of black cardstock.  I added a paper punched pumpkin and then tied it to then eck of the bottle with some black tulle.

I am going to give this to my sister for her new classroom.

Supplies:
Paper:  Recollections
Misc:  Cricut, vinyl, paper punches, tulle, hand sanitizer

Bite Me Pop Holders

I've been really enjoying making cake pops.  Unfortunately, my skills are not very good and they end up looking like huge misshapen diabetes balls on a stick!  So, I decided to work on some pop holders that would disguise them!

Thankfully, my Cricut die collection and paper punches came to the rescue!  I didn't have an appropriate sentiment stamp, so I make one on the computer.  I'm a little behind the times, but I've recently discovered free downloaded fonts.  I thought this one would be perfect.

Supplies:
Paper:  Recollections, Bazzill, American Crafts
Misc:  Cricut, Paper Doll Dress Up Cartridge, black sharpie pen, white gel pen, Mama Elephant Tiny Bow die, pop up dots, paper punches, ribbon, computer

Paper Bag Pumpkins

One of my favorite things about Fall are pumpkins.  If you add paper punching to the pumpkins...it's even better!

These were super simple to make.  I spray painted some small brown lunch sacks. Then, I filled them up with crumpled up newspaper and when I ran out of that I used plastic grocery bags.  The top of the bag was bunched together and tied with raffia.

Now the fun part!  I grabbed a variety of paper punches and punched away.  Each one's face is a little bit different.

To add a little bit more fall to my pumpkin, I punched a sunflower, as well.  I hot glued the sunflower to the center of the raffia bow.

Supplies:
Paper:  Recollections, Bazzill
Misc:  Paper lunch sacks,m paper punches, raffia, pop up dots, white gel pen, hot glue gun, old newspapers/plastic grocery bags, orange spray paint

Scary and Spooky Embellishments

I just love Halloween.  I love the candy, decorations, scary movies and most of all the cooler weather!  It has been so hot this summer in Florida!  I don't think I've sweat this much in my entire life as I have this summer.

In an effort to use up some scraps and help coax the cooler weather, I decided to make some embellishments.  These would be great on a card, or on a box or bag that will hold some Halloween treats.

Supplies:
Stamps:  My Favorite Things - Spider Web
Paper:  American Crafts, MME, Bazzill, Recollections
Misc:  Nestabilities, pop up dots, Ghost Quickutz, Papertrey Ink Banner Die, Memory Box Spider Die, buttons
