A New Addition

There is an American Girl Doll Store right near where I live.  I've been admiring the dolls and clothes, but they are a little rich for my blood, especially since I'm a little old to be playing with dolls.  I did, however, think to myself that I could sew outfits for the dolls.  So, with the help of Ebay, I found a beautiful doll in my price range and started sewing clothes.  I'm having a great time making the doll clothes.  I have decided to sell them in my Etsy Shop, so if you are looking for a unique, handmade, one of a kind outfit for your American Girl Doll, jump on over to my Etsy Shop.

The Simple Joys of Butterflies

This is my second attempt at the Z-Fold card.  My Mom recently purchased a Big Shot and has been cutting out butterflies.  I haven't used my butterfly paper punches in awhile, so her butterflies have inspired me to make some of my own.

Twisted Pop Up Card

 Here is another new technique I decided to try out; the Twisted Pop Up Card.  There are a lot of great tutorials out there and tons on Pinterest for inspiration.  Check out this one on Kylie's Cards and Things.

I used a lot of different techniques on this card.  I stamped, colored with Copics, used my Big Kick to die cut the donuts and mini coffee cups, paper punched hearts.....what I didn't get to do was use pop up dots.  If you follow me, you will know how much I love pop up dots and put them on everything.  But due to the style of this card, I didn't think that they would fit, once I twisted it back together.

I decided to use some of my favorite things on this card, coffee and donuts!  Not to mention I used My Favorite Things stamps on it as well!

The donuts were cut out using a tiny die from Taylored Expressions and then I added some Diamond Glaze onto the frosting.  The big coffee cups were made using a few paper punches and a trimmer.  You can find templates, dies, and SVG cups for them on-line, but it was very easy just to make them by hand.

Once the card is folded and twisted to the A2 size, I made a belly band to hold it all together.  You can see it in the first picture at the top of this post.

Right now, I wish I had a donut, but it looks like it's going to start to storm again, so I  will not be venturing out!

Snow Days ROCK!

Happy Birthday Easel Card

Just working on replenishing some of stash of cards.  I love making easel cards, I just think they are fun.

This card was made by combining the Pure Innocence Happy Banner with the Papertrey Ink Birthday die.  The cake was made with my Cricut.  Flower and balloon embellishments were made with paper punches.  Lots of pop up dots (as usual), stickles, diamond glaze and hand drawn ballon strings finish off the card.

Here is another fun and exciting folded card that I tried out.  I've done side step cards before, but this time I decided to go big!  I found this tutorial on Pinterest.

 My sister and I went to the Scrapbook Expo a few ago and I picked up a few new Paper Nest Stamps.   This one is Cupcake Avery.  I colored her with Copic markers.  The flowers and the heart border were cut with Papertrey Ink dies.

Mother's Day Z-Fold Card

Mother's Day is just a few days away and I've been working on learning new techniques to make cards more exciting.  This is my first attempt at a Z-Fold card.  I used this card as my inspiration.

There is a lot of cutting in this card.  I used a variety of dies to cut the flowers, leaves, clouds, and the grass.  Additionally, I used my Cricut to cut the tulips.  There are lots of pop up dots, buttons, and diamond glaze to add dimension.

Petite Places Berry Baskets

I decided to work on some Mother's Day gifts today.  I'm really trying to use up stuff I already have and not go buy more.  So, I was able to use berry baskets, plastic ornaments and some of my favorite dies from Papertrey Ink and My Favorite Things.

I actually remembered to take a picture, before I glued the top on!  All I did was just die cut a lot of little pieces and make a pretty spring house.  This is actually the School House Petite Places die, I just omitted the front part.

I always have to make more than one!

The Easter Bunny made a stop at work this week.  Tiny buckets filled with candy topped off with a pretty pencil and chenille bunny surprised the team.  A Bunny Kiss and a few Nugget Bunnies rounded out a great treat.

Bunny Kisses

The Easter Bunny is coming!!  Here is a quick and easy project that will surely put a smile on everyone's face.  These are perfect for co-workers, place setting markers for your dinner table and great basket stuffers.

I used the Impression Obsession Die 043-G to cut the bunnies.  I cut two bunnies for each kiss.

First, I cut a toothpick in half and then using a white craft glue, I sandwiched the toothpick inbetween two of the bunnies.  To give the bunnies a little color, I used my Cricut to cut out some bows, but you could use ribbon or even little flowers.  To finish them off, I stuck them into the top of the Hershey Kiss and viola...they are done!

I almost forgot, don't you forget to add a fluffy bunny tail using a small pom pom!

More Bunnies!

I absolutely love Dandelion Designs stamps.  They are the cutest images and they are super easy to color and/or paper piece.

The card base was made using Nestabilites.  I attached the different patterned papers with pop up dots to the back of the card base.  Then, I used a few more pop up dots to add my images.  I couldn't decide which sentiment to use from the Hippity Hoppity Papertrey Ink set, so I used three of them!

Three Sweet Bunnies!

I saw this super cute card on Pinterest.  I really wanted to make it, but I didn't have the die.  Unfortunately, the shipping was more than the actual cost of the die, so I decided to improvise.  After scouring different SVG cuts online, I found this cute bunny and decided he would work.

Hippity Hoppity

My First Box Card

This card has taken me forever!  I can't tell you how many times I have taken it apart and remade it.   It's literally taken me a month, but I think I 'm finally satisfied with the finished product.

I decided to go with a Harry Potter theme.  It's made entirely from varies cut files with my Cricut.  For the actual box, I used my Scor Pal.  The actual box part was pretty easy, I just followed along with tutorial on Splitcoaststampers.  You can find it here.
