Happy Camper Birthday

My Dad's 75th birthday was last week.  His present is a little late as I've been busy with packing, moving, unpacking and all of the stress that goes along with it.  Dad loves camping, so I thought a camping themed birthday surprise was in order.  The card was a "pinterest" inspired card.  You can find a link to the card here.

cloud cut outs and kraft gingham - too cool

So, for my card, I used the Quickutz Camper die set instead of the airplane.  The clouds were made using the My Favorite Things Cloud Die-Namics.

I bought my Dad a gift card to Lowe's, so to package it a fun way, I filled two card boxes with mini Snickers Bars (one of his favorites) and slipped the card into one of the boxes.  Then, I made a belly band with a matching medallion for the front.  I used the trailer Quickutz again, and also cut a tree out with another Quickutz Die.  The moon was made using a circle paper punch.  I made my own "chipboard" letters by cutting out several layers of each letter, gluing them together, and then covering them with Diamond Glaze.

Here is a picture of the set together.

Supplies:
Paper:  Echo Park, Recollections, Jillibean Soup
Misc:  Quickutz Camper and Christmas Tree Dies, circle paper punch. Diamond Glaze, My Favorite Things Clouds Die-Namics, Cuttlebug Tag Sale Alphabet, pop up dots, clear acetate card boxes

I'm back....

Good morning everyone.  I'm finally moved into my new apartment, yay!!  The whole process was extremely stressful and I think I had a 40 nervous breakdowns just on the day of the actual move!  It had to be one of the hottest days in Central Florida and of course, it rained in the afternoon when we were unloading.  But, I have a much bigger place and a washer/dryer in my apartment!  My cable and internet is all hooked up and I'm slowly getting everything unpacked.  I'm organizing my crafting stuff, so I'm hoping to get work on something later today.
