Purple Pedicure Presents!

This was a special request from Kelsie's mom, Valerie.  She watches two little girls and needed something to surprise them with this Christmas.  She said that purple was their favorite color.  I used this template to make the boxes, I just made two of them to hang back to back.

Here is the side/back view:

To personalize each gift, I cut the Open Oval Scallop My Favorite Things Die-Namics Die.  I stamped the stems using Papertrey Ink Blooming Button Bits Set, then glued some of my crocheted hearts onto the stems.  Using some alphabet beads, I spelled each of the girls' names on to the front.  I filled the boxes up with various items every little girl needs for pretty fingers and toes!

Supplies:
Stamps:  Papertrey Ink-Blooming button Bits
Ink:  Memento
Paper:  Bazzill
Misc:  Crocheted hearts, alphabet beads, pop up dots, ribbon, Scor-Pal, My Favorite Things Open Oval Scallop Die-Namics Die, naill polish remover, mani/pedi supplies

Tea Light Snowman Ornament

It's been cloudy and overcast in Central Florida for days now.  So, unfortunately, my pictures are kind of dark.

I had some battery operated tea lights that I bought (who knows when!) and decided to make some ornaments.  I love snowman, not the snow, so I made these up using some paper punches.  I used a Bic Marker to color the nose orange.  Please don't notice that the buttons are crooked!  Oh well, that's how you tell he is homemade!

Supplies:
Paper:  MME, Bazzill
Misc:  Battery operated tea lights, baker's twine, pom poms, paper punches, white gel pen, pop up dots, ribbon, black rhinestones, ribbon, buttons, Bic pen

Warm Wishes

I cut some skates out with my Cricut Winter Woodlands Cartridge and decided to make a winter card with them.  Since  the skates are kind of fat, with the pompoms and baker's twine, I thought a bag would be a better way to give the card.  I also made a matching tag.

Here is a close up of the tag:

Supplies:
Stamps:  Hero Arts-Warm Winter Wishes To You
Paper:  Authentique, Bazzill
Ink:  Versafine
Misc:  Clothespin, pop up dots, baker's twine, pompoms, pearls, snowflake paper punch, paper sack, button, black sharpie, Nestabilities

"My Type" Christmas Cards

These were really easy and fast cards that I whipped up.  I cased them from a very talented stamper when I was surfing on the internet.  Unfortunately, I can't find her post, so I can't give her the credit!

I did change a few little things.  She had used the Martha Stewart Bow Paper Punch, since I don't have that one, I just substituted a little ribbon bow.  Her sentiment was more of a "typed" sentiment, again I didn't have that stamp, so I just substituted a Papertrey Ink stamp.

Supplies:
Stamps:  Hero Arts-My Type and Papertrey Ink-Friendship Jar Holiday Fillers
Ink:  Versafine, Memento
Paper:   Bazzill
Misc:  Ribbon, Martha Stewart Fir Paper Punch

Snowflake Gift Set

Today, I decided to make a gift set with some of my embroidered snowflakes.  There is bag with a matching tag, a pillow box with Hershey Nuggets and a paper pouch with a special surprise tucked inside.

The gift bag was made using the Papertrey Ink Front & Center #1 Die.  The tag was made using the My Favorite Things Scallop Die-Namic.  The tag was Pinterest inspired.  I added a little machine stitching to both the tag and bag for a little added dimension.

Tag close up:

Next up is the paper pouch.  Again, I added a little extra dimension with some machine stitching (of course, you can't see it!) and the belly band was run through the crimper.

I cut a pillow box using the Sizzix Pillow Box Die.  I stamped some snowflakes on with White Stazon Ink.

Supplies:
Stamps:  Papertrey Ink-Holiday Button Bits and Tiny Treats Christmas
Ink:  Versafine, Stazon, Color Box
Paper:  Recollections, We R Mememory Keepers
Misc:  Buttons, crochet thread, embroidered snowflakes, crimper, paper punches, white pearls, Papertrey Ink Front and Center Die #1, Sizzix Pillow Box Die, My Favorite Things Scallop Die-Namics, paper doily, paper sacks, sewing machine, pop up dots, tulle

Happy Hanukkah Card Sets

I've been working on some Hanukkah card sets using the Papertrey Ink Menorah Medley Die set.  For the first set, I used the menorah die.  I totally cased this card from Nichole Heady.  I didn't have the Mega Mat Stack #3 Die, so I kind of improvised using my Cricut.

The second set, I just used the Star of David die.  You can't see it in the picture, but the Star is a "window", I cut all the way through the card front.  It looks really pretty standing up.

I have a hard time finding pretty Hanukkah paper.  For these cards, I improvised and used the Teresa Collins Everyday Moments pad.  It has a variety of blue and yellow prints and it's very pretty.

Supplies:
Stamps:  Studio G-Happy Hanukkah
Ink:  Versafine
Paper:  Teresa Collins, Recollections, Echo Park
Misc:  Papertrey Ink Menorah Medley Die set, pop up dots

Christmas Cards and Snowflakes

Happy day after Thanksgiving!  I hope everyone had a nice holiday.  I actually got to go to my Mom's house yesterday.  My work schedule has prohibited me from seeing my family the last few years, but this year I got to go, so bonus for me!

My move and job transfer has been a difficult one.  Unfortunately, as with many Americans, I've been having financial and medical struggles.  I had to get a part time job to help cover my expenses.  I'm trying to get as much crafty time as I can, and have been making Christmas cards to sell in my Etsy shop.

Here is the first set I've made.

This is actually a set of four (4) card with envelopes.    I don't have time to list them in the shop at this moment, as I have to hurry and get ready to go to one of my jobs!

Supplies:
Stamps:  Papertrey Ink-Holiday Button Bits, Hero Arts-CL498
Ink:  Memento
Paper:  Bo Bunny, Recollections
Misc:  Baker's twine, paper punches

While I was at my Mom's yesterday, I told her I needed an easy crocheted snowflake pattern.  She, of course, had the brilliant idea of whipping some off with the embroidery machine.  Well, you will never guess what she did!  After we downloaded a pattern, made one, she offered to let me borrow one her machines to make some at home!  Can you even believe it!!  I was so excited.  So, this morning, I made a whole bunch of snowflakes.  One of the great things about this machine is you can do something else while it's running!

Here is the machine:

Here are the snowflakes I made this morning.  I still need to clip some threads.  I can't wait to make up some cards, tags, and gift bags with these!

Deck The Halls

I worked on a couple of cards today.  I keep organizing and re-organizing my craft stuff, so needless to say I keep finding stuff that I didn't know I had or stuff that I haven't used in a while.  I used the Papertrey Ink Holiday Button Bits set to make up some gift bags for the craft fair, and decided to break it out again for these cards.

Supplies:
Stamps:  Papertrey Ink-Holiday Button Bits
Ink:  Memento, Versafine
Paper:  MME-Merry
Misc:  Buttons, ribbon, Crop-A-Dile, pop up dots

Spiders In The Pumpkin Patch

Yes, I'm still finishing up my Halloween goodies!  I had to put them on the back burner as I had to make up some stuff for a craft fair at my sister's school.  I made a whole bunch of Christmas items, and guess what....I didn't take any pictures to post!  Unfortunately, I ran out of time as I had to quickly get them done and packed up for my brother in law to pick up.

I also found out this week that I need to have surgery on my "girly" parts, so I'm just waiting to hear back from my doctor on when it is going to be scheduled.

I made some tissue paper pumpkins that are filled with Halloween candy.  Using some washi tape, I made a small tag stamped with a Halloween sentiment.

My favorite part of the pumpkin, with the exception of the candy, is the spider.  He/she is made with pipe cleaners and some small pony beads.  The spiders were easy to put together, but I had quite a bit of help from Tedy who kept running off with the pipe cleaners!

Here is the whole "patch".  Some of my pumpkins are little lumpy and misshapen, but I think it adds to their character.

Supplies:
Stamps:  Studio G-Series 20
Ink:  Versafine
Paper:  The Paper Company
Misc:  Tissue paper, floral tape, ribbon, candy, tags, washi tape, pipe cleaners, small pony beads

The "Pipe Cleaner Thief" in the tube, after they both had some catnip!

Jack-O-Lantern Gable Boxes

Just a quick post before I  have to get ready for work.  I made these gable boxes with the Cricut Tags, Bags, Boxes & More 2 Cartridge.  Using my Gypsy and Gypsy Wanderings Cartridge that came already pre-loaded on my Gypsy, I added the Jack-O-Lantern face.  Then, I adhered a piece of clear acetate to the inside of the box.  The box was filled with some yummy autumn mix.

The tag was made with a paper punched spider that I covered with black glitter. He/she is adhered to the tag with some foam tape.

Supplies:
Stamps:  Studio G-Three Bugs In A Rug
Ink:  Stamps by Judith, Versafine
Paper:  Graphic 45, Bazill, We R Memory Keepers
Misc:  Foam tape, rhinestones, glitter, kraft tags, clear acetate, ribbon, Cricut Gypsy Wanderings and Tags, Bags, Boxes & More 2 Cricut Cartridges, Scor-Pal, Scor-Tape

Scary Guys

I saw this great scary guy on Pinterest.  It's from Tracey's blog, you can find it here.  Tracey used a Cricut Cartridge to make this great guy, but I substituted some paper punches and Nestabilities.

After I made my scary face, I whipped up a square 3 inch x 3 inch box and then adhered the face.  I made these for the kiddos, this one is for my nephew, Joe.  Inside the box, there is a little black tissue paper and baggie filled with Halloween candy.  I made a simple tag, added a bat that was paper punched and personalized it with an alphabet stamp.

For the girls, I added some tulle and a crocheted flower.

Laura and Jenny came over on Sunday, and we watched two scary movies before the football game.  Then, Jenny, filled a bag with some horror movies from my DVD collection to watch at home.  She is definitely my niece!  I have a picture that my brother's "lady" took of Jenny and I, the caption reads, "The apple and the tree".  I think that pretty sums it up!

Supplies:
Stamps:  JoAnn Fabrics and Graphic 45:  Alphabets
Ink:  Versafine, Memento
Paper:  Bazzill, Colorbok, Recollections
Misc:  Paper punches, Nestabilities, white gel pen, black Sharpie pen, tulle, button, crochet flowers, pop up dots, Scor-Pal, Scor-Tape, tissue paper, candy, clear bag, glitter chipboard letters

I made the box following the directions.  Then to embellish it, I added a computer generated sentiment, some baker's twine, a few Quickutz shapes and paper punched bats and pumpkins.

Are you ready to see the inside??????

Haunted House

Time for another Halloween trick-or-treat!  I haven't used my Home Made Template from My Timeless Templates in awhile, it's one of my favorites, so I decided to make one into a haunted house.

This template is pretty easy to put together, just follow the directions that are provided.  I used the complimentary stamp set from Papertrey Ink, Home Made.  I stamped/paper pieced the doors, windows, and shutters.  I adhered the shutters just slightly askew to make it look more scary!  Then, I added some homemade paper punched pumpkins, a few Recollections Ghost embellishments that I had from last year, and some paper punched bats.  The spider webs were cut out of vellum with my Cricut.  I made a spider out of paper punches and covered him in glitter to put on top of the roof.  He's kind of hard to see as the roof is black as well, but in person, he's very scary!!  The sentiment is from Savvy Stamps.

Just so know, there is candy in the house!

Supplies:
Stamps:  Papertrey Ink-Home Made, Savvy Stamps-Happy Haunting
Ink:  Versafine
Paper:  Bazzill, WE R Memory Keepers, Echo Park Chillingsworth Manor
Misc:  Paper punches, pop up dots, glitter, My Timeless Template Home Made, Scor-Pal, Scor-Tape, tissue paper, candy, ghost embellishments, brad, half orange pearls, candy

Little Witch Goodie Bag

I can't believe how long it's been since I posted!  I'm still trying to get settled into my new place and organizing my crafty space.  My creative mojo has been suffering lately, so I go on Pinterest for some inspiration.  But, like everyone else who browses on Pinterest, 5 minutes turn into 2 hours!

Since I love Halloween, I decided to start working on my treat bags for family and friends.  This one I made for my Mom, like you couldn't tell!

The goodie bag was made using a paper lunch sack and the Papertrey Ink Die Front & Center #1.

For the tag, I added some strips of Carta Bella All Hallow's Eve Double Sided Cardstock to a tag.  Then, a little machine stitching was done around the border.  The spider's web was cut with my Cricut and a little black glitter was added for a little extra dimension.  The Pure Innocence Little Witch was paper pieced and colored with Copics.  She is adhered with some pop up dots onto the web.  A few little buttons were added and she was completed.  I tied the tag onto the bag with some dyed seam binding.

Supplies:
Stamps:  My Favorite Things Pure Innocence Little Witch
Ink: Memento
Paper:  Carta Bella All Hallow's Eve, Bazzill
Misc:  Papertrey Ink Front & Center #1 Die, paper luch sack, glitter, glitter alphabet stickers, rick rak, Copics, pop up dots, sewing machine, dyed seam binding, tag, Cricut, buttons
