Easter Wishes

I'm in a card making "kinda" mood today,  used a variety of tools to make this pretty pair.  The basket base was made using a cupcake bottom from the Cricut Sweet Treats Cartridge and the handle was made using Nestabilities.  Lines were scored on basket bottom using my Scor-Pal.  The eggs were cut using the Papertrey Ink Egg Die and leaves I just paper punched, scored a middle line, and sponged with some ink.

The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink's Friendship Jar Spring Fillers.  I just stamped it onto a strip of light kraft cardstock.  It's matted on a matching piece of designer paper.  A simple paper punched butterfly and a half pearl finished the pair off.

Supplies:
Stamps:  Papertrey Ink:  Friendship Jar Spring Fillers
Ink:  Memento, Versafine
Paper:  American Crafts, Recollections
Misc:  Paper punches, Scor-Pal, pop up dots, half pearls, Papertrey Ink Egg Die, Nestabilities, Cricut Sweet Treats Cricut Cartridge

Candy Cup Easter Baskets

Here are some quick and inexpensive little Easter baskets made with Dollar Store crepe paper streamers, nut cups, and pipe cleaners.

I just glued/ruffled some crepe paper around the nut cup.  Then, I just covered up the glue line with some flat lace.  The handle measures 8 1/2 inches and is hot glued inside the nut cup.  Some green paper shred, flowers, a pretty banner, and, of course, candy and then are done!

Oscar photo bombing....

Tedy has to do everything her brother does, so here she is photo bombing.....

All set and ready for the Easter Bunny!

Happy Easter Gum Wraps

I bought some packages of Eclipse Gum at Target.  Using a bunch of scrap paper, I cut up some strips about  1/2 inch wide and adhered them to a piece of regular copy paper.  This way, I used up some scraps and made some unique designer paper.  Then, I used the packaging that the gum came in as a template.  I just embellished it with a Quickutz doily and one of my favorite stamps (that I haven't used in awhile!).  A little pom pom from my stash and they make a perfect basket stuffer!

Supplies:
Stamps:  Dandelion Designs-Bunny, Papertrey Ink-Polka Dot Parade #1
Ink:  Memento
Misc:  Eclipse Gum, Quickutz Doily, pop up dots, pom poms, Copics

Some Bunny Loves You Test Tube Cards With Two Tutorials

Warning:  This is a super long post with two tutorials and photograph heavy.  Grab your favorite beverage and get comfy!!!

I found this card on Nancy's blog, Artful Notions, and fell immediately in love.  While I love Papertrey Ink, it was this particular card that "forced" me to buy the Polka Dot Parade #1 set and the Polka Dot Parade #1 die set.  I must admit, I have little will power, and with stamp set that only costs $5.00 and die set only costs $3.00, how can you go wrong?!

So, I decided to use Nancy's card and some test tubes I had in my stash.  These particular test tubes are flat on the bottom and have a silver screw on top.  This is what I came up with:

Now, I generally like all of the stuff I make, but there is something about these that I really love.

Here is a quick tutorial to make the actual card.

Cut a piece of cardstock 8 1/2 inches by 5 1/2 inches.  Using a Scor-Pal, score at 3 1/2 inches, 4 1/4 inches and 5 inches.

Fold the card in half at the 4 1/4 inches.

On the folded edge, score at 3/4 inches, 1 1/2 inches, 4 inches, and 4 3/4 inches.

Cut out the center between the score lines all the way to the main score at 5 inches.

When you open the card up, it should look like this:

The test tube will just slide in the card.

I don't have a basket die, so I decided to improvise by using two oval Nestabilities dies.  I used the largest and next largest oval die, the tan embossing pad, and a scrap of paper.

First, cut a large oval out.

Now, put the large oval on the cutting platform on the die cutting machine.  Lay the embossing mat about half way down on the oval.  Then, layer the smaller oval die on top.

Run the oval through the machine.  It will stop when it hits the embossing mat.  Back it up and this is what you will get:

If just flipped it over and folded the part of the small oval that cut back and adhered it to the back of the basket.

Then, I just trimmed the bottom of the basket to give it a flat bottom.

You can decorate your card front and inside, fill it up with some jelly beans and viola you have a great Easter treat.  To make it even more special, you can just put a gift card in the inside pocket.  This was a great project to use up lots of little scraps of paper you may have saved for a rainy day.

Special thanks to Nancy, for the wonderful inspirations for this project!

Supplies:
Stamps:  Papertrey Ink-Polka Dot Parade #1
Ink:  Memento
Paper:  Echo Park, My Mind's Eye, American Crafts, Recollections, Bazzill
Misc:  Test tubes, pop up dots, Polka Dot Parade #1 Die set, Nestabilities, paper punches, half pearls, paper shred, candy, Martha Stewart Doilies, Papertrey Ink Fillable Frames #5 Die, pom poms, Scor-Pal, Quickutz Doily Die, Papertrey Ink Mat Stack #3 Die, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Embossing Folder

If you need the test tubes, I have some listed in my Etsy Shop, so just hop on over. If you use another type of tube, you will need to adjust the size of your score marks to accomodate the size of the tube.

I saw these on Pinterest and just had to make them!  Super quick and super easy!  I didn't have the proper paper punches, so I just improvised with my Ciruct.

I made up some kits to make these little goodies.  In each kit you enough supplies to make 5 (five) Bunny Butt Sweet Treats.  The candy is not included.  All you need is the candy and some adhesive to put these little guys together.  They are listed in my Etsy Shop.

Punch Bunnies!

I used my Teddy Bear Valentines as my inspiration for this post.  Using a variety of paper punches and my Cricut, I whipped up these little bunnies.  I originally had some Dove Coconut Cream Eggs that I was going to use for this project, but I wanted to try one to make sure they tasted ok.   But, to be really sure, I ended up eating the whole bag!  So, I ended up buying some Reeses', and they work just fine, and taste super delicious!

We all know how bunnies multiply....

....and multiply....

I made up some kits with all of the pieces already cut out.  Each kit will make two bunnies.  You will just need adhesive, candy, pop up dots, white gel pen, sharpie pen, and a little color for the bunnies cheeks!  The Punch Bunny! Body Part Kits are listed in my Etsy shop, so make sure you "hop" on over.

I wanted to put my bunnies in a bag, so I used some Large Glassine Bags from my Etsy shop.  They are decorated with scraps of American Crafts designer paper, baker's twine, and a button.

Here they are, done and ready for the Easter Bunny.  They are perfect for tucking in basket, decorating your dinner table or just a special random act of kindness.

Supplies:
Paper:  Recollections, American Crafts, Bazzill
Misc:  Cricut, paper punches, large glassine bags, candy, white gel pen, black sharpie pen, buttons, pop up dots, pink chalk,
