K-Cup Gift Box

I've been in a serious funk lately.  I've made some incredibly ugly cards, some of which have wound up in the trash and unfortunately wasted a lot of paper.  I had these grandiose ideals about some beautiful cards and they just didn't pan out the way I had intended.

My local Publix Grocery Store sometimes has K-Cups on their clearance rack for only $1.00 a box! Needless to say I will buy them all!  The last time I picked up 10 boxes.  They vary from the Publix brand (which is very good), Starbucks, New England Coffee, McDonalds, and many more.  I keep half and give the other half to my sister.

Speaking of my sister, who just happens to be a teacher...so I decided to make a teacher appreciation gift with my haul of K-Cups.  I scoured the internet to try and find one I liked, so I settled on this one as my inspiration.

Using my Coluzzle and my Scor-Pal I constructed the box.  It holds 4 K-Cups.  Then I used my Cricut to make the coffee cups.  They are embellished with a few paper punches, a crimper and some apple brads.

The tag was stamped and then attached with a homemade button and some baker's twine.

Inside the box, I made a little chalkboard and stamped the sentiment.  Then I die cut teacher out of some glitter card stock and finished it off with a paper punched apple.

I thought the coffee holder needed a little jazzing up, so I added a die cut apple.

Stamps:  Papertrey Ink:  Teacher's Apple & Wonderful Words:  Teacher

Misc:  Coluzzle, Scor-Pal, brads, Papertrey Ink teacher, button, and apple dies, paper punches, pop up dots, crimper, Cricut Love You A Latte Cartridge, Mama Elephant Bow Die, baker's twine

Boo Nugget Box

**This is my second post of the day, scroll down to see my Halloween Banners.**

I saw this cute treat box card tutorial over on Splitcoast and decided to give it a whirl.

I used my Scor-Pal to make the box.  Instead of my making the tag pocket, I just adhered the two end pieces together.  Then, I added my spooky fence, paper punch pumpkins and a banner made with My Favorite Things Fish Tail Pennant Die-Namics.  Some tiny bat punches completed my banner.

Instead of using a punch to make the window where the nuggets are, I used my Coluzzle.

Supplies:
Stamps:  Jo-Ann Fabrics-Alphabet

Paper:  Echo Park, Bazzill, MME
Misc:  Sizzix Fence Die, My Favorite Things Fish Tail Pennants Die-Namics, pop up dots, paper punches, Coluzzle, clear acetate, Hershey Nuggets, Scor-Pal, Scor-Tape

Vintage Style Library Card "Card"

I think I've had the Coluzzle Library Card Template and Stamp for a zillion years now, I finally dusted it off and used it!  I stamped on the card on a piece of pink cardstock.  For the pocket/envelope, I did some minor surgery on a medium glassine bag to accommodate my card.  A few doilies, crocheted flowers, a little seam binding, a little bling and my card was done.

Supplies:
Stamps: Coluzzle-Library Card
Ink:  Versafine
Paper:  My Mind's Eye, Bazill, Recollections
Misc:  Crochet flowers, buttons Papertrey Ink Double Banner Die, Recollections Rhinestone Swirl, seam binding, circle paper punch, doilies, glassine bag, lace

Everyday Card Set....Take 2!

I decided that I didn't like the box that I made for the Everyday Card Set in this post.  So, I used one of my favorite My Timeless Templates, From The Desk Of..., to make a new box.  This set comes with four mini file folders that I made with my Coluzzle and some RSVP pens that I altered with the matching designer paper from the cards.

I decided to add a sweet treat to this set.  I had a couple of mint tins left over and some nuggets (which I always have on hand!), so I just wrapped them in the matching paper and adhered a paper punched flower to the top.

I tied a ribbon around them, to hold them together, finished with a bow, and added a button flower.  I figure when the candy is gone, the recipient of this gift can re-use the tins for paper clips or stamps.

Supplies:
Stamps:  Papertrey Ink-Handwritten Notes
Ink:  Versafine
Paper:  Bazzill, K & Company, Bo Bunny
Template:  My Timeless Templates-From The Desk Of...
Misc:  buttons, ribbon, RSVP Pens, mint favor tins, paper punches, silk leaves, liquid pearls, pearl swirls, seam binding, DMC floss, paper shred, Marianne Designs flower dies

Sorry the pictures are so dark. It's a cloudy rainy day here in Central Florida. It's my favorite kind of weather when it's my day off, especially when I don't have to go any where. I have my "fat" shorts on, scary movies in the dvd player, plenty of cardstock and my kitties sleeping next to me!  Life is good!

From The Desk Of ...Hello Kitty

In the dollar sections of Michaels and Target, they have all of this cool Hello Kitty stuff. I decided to make some more desk sets using these goodies. The template comes from one of Lauren Meader's, My Timeless Templates. It is called "From The Desk Of". It can be purchased/download from Papertrey Ink.

The Hello Kitty head was made using the original Sizzix Hellow Kitty Face with Bow die. I cut it out twice and sandwiched pop up dots between the two layers.

Each desk set comes with four mini file folders,(that I cut with my Coluzzle), seven Hello Kitty pencils, a Hello Kitty eraser set, and a pink mini compartment box. The mini compartment box has a variety of paper clips, Hello Kitty stickers, tacks, a pink plastic mini clothespins.

Supplies:
Paper: Recollections, DCWV
Template: My Timeless Template-From the Desk Of
Misc: Sizzix, paper punches, coluzzle, pop up dots, Hello Kitty office/school supplies, scor tape

From the Desk of...

Mom, Chuck, and I went to the Scrapbook Expo in Orlando and I bought a bunch of new goodies, including this great paper. It is called "Mabel Papers" by My Mind's Eye. I'm supposed to be using supplies up, not buying them, but you can never have too much paper.

Using one of Lauren Meader's, My Timeless Templates, I created this desk organizer. The template is appropriately named, "From The Desk Of" and it can be purchased/downloaded at Papertrey Ink. The front is embellished with a little ribbon, some pearly swirls and a hand crocheted flower. I made four cards using the Mabel Papers, ribbon, and some Martha Stewart punched flowers. The sentiments is from My Favorite Things, "Framed Greetings" stamp set and matching die.

I used my coluzzle to cut out these mini file folders. The four folders are six inches long and they fit perfectly in the back of the organizer. The folders were embellished with some more paper punched flowers, pearls, and oval label. You can't seen in the picture, but the two RSVP pens have a little bit of paper inside the barrel to match the cards.

This would make a nice gift for a birthday or Mother's Day which is right around the corner.

Supplies:
Stamp: My Favorite Things-Framed Greetings
Ink: Versafine
Paper: Bazzill, The Paper Company, My Mind's Eye
Template: My Timeless Templates-From the Desk of
Misc: Coluzzle, pearls, ribbon, crocheted flower, paper punches, rsvp pens

JustRite Challenge #038

I bought these tins of Prima flowers at Michaels on clearance and thought that I could use the tins as well. When I saw the JustRite Challenge #038 to make a 3-D project for fall, I decided these were perfect. Using my mini mint favor tins as the inspiration, I made these ginormous candy tins! I wanted to do a witch, so I used the Cricut Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge to make the hat. These would be great centerpieces, decorations, or just a fun gift.

Supplies:
Stamps: JustRite-Favorite Occassions Set
Ink: Versafine, Memento
Paper: Recollections, Bazzill, Bo Bunny
Misc: Cricut, paper doll dress up cartridge, coluzzle, paper punches, ribbon, pop up dots, nestabilities, copics, embossing powder, embossing gun, large prima flower tins, sticky strip, stickles
