Heart Doily Treat Sacks

Here are some super quick heart doily treat sacks that I made.  All I did, was stitch around the doily with my sewing machine.  I left an opening about 3 inches long, stuffed them full of M&M's and then stitch the opening closed.  A quick simple tag tied on finished the project.

I originally wanted to fill them with the cinnamon red hearts, but I couldn't find them anywhere!  I went to Target, Walmart, Walgreens, CVS, Publix, and Party City and no one had them.  But, the plain M&M's did the trick just fine.

Supplies:
Stamps:  Stampin Up-Sentiment
Ink:  Memento
Paper:  American Crafts, Bazzill
Misc:  Heart doilies, ribbon, Martha Stewart doily tags, paper punches, glitter, pop up dots

I "Heart" You

If you haven't bought the Paper Crafts Card Creations Volume 10 yet, you definitely need to go and get it!  There are tons of great cards, so many that I plan to case.  This one was inspired by Kayln Kepner, Button Birthday, on page 46.

I paper punched some hearts in two sizes.  They are attached with foam tape to the base of my card.  I didn't have the right amount/color of buttons to match my paper, so I used the Papertrey Ink Button Dies to make my own.  The sentiment is from Stampin' Up.

Supplies:
Stamp:  Stampin'Up-I Love You
Ink:  Tim Holtz, Stamps by Judith
Paper:  Bazzill, My Mind's Eye-Nostalgia
Misc:  Papertrey Ink Button Dies, foam tape, pinking shears, DMC floss, sewing machine

I hope everyone is having a safe Memorial Day.  God bless the Men and Women who have fought and died for our country, the Men and Women in our Armed Forces, our Veterans, and America.

MFTWSC62-Emma and Her Backpack

Here is my entry for the Weekly Sketch Challenge over at My Favorite Things.    You can find all of the details here.  This weeks sketch is:

I made this card for my sister, Laura, who is also a teacher.  She is having surgery on Monday.  I'm going to bring it to her when I go visit.

I used the Emma and Her Backpack set for this card.  I colored Emma with Copics and then paper pieced her dress and backpack. Diamond Glaze was added to her shoes.   I wanted to add a pencil fence, but since I didn't have a fence die (and since I'm trying not to spend any extra money because I am planning on moving soon), I used my Stampin' Up Word Window Punch to make all of the little pencils.

Supplies:
Stamps:  My Favorite Things-Emma and Her Backpack
Ink:  Versafine, Memento, Tim Holtz
Paper:  Graphic 45-An ABC Primer
Misc:  Copics, Stampin' Up Word Window Punch, DMC Floss, heart punch Diamond Glaze, pop up dots

Christmas Bitty Bag & Tag

So, I'm in panic mode trying to get my gifts done.  Is everyone else going through the same thing?  I hope I'm not the only one!

I made this Holiday Bitty Bag & Tag for my stepmother for Christmas.  I used an old favorite stamp set, Polar Pals from Stampin' Up.  I stamped the little Eskimo girl onto kraft cardstock, then colored her in with a red and black Bic Marker.  Liquid Applique was applied to her fur cuffs.  She is popped up on a tag made from Nestabilities.  The designer paper I had in my scrap stash, so I don't know who it is from!  It's adorable paper, that's all I know!  I personalized the tag with her name and added a snowflake embellishment that I made with a few paper punches, a button, some baker's twine and a spritz of glitter.

Close up of the tag:

Dad and Judy love to watch movies, so in the Bitty Bag are two DVD's and a bag of candy to enjoy while watching the movies.  I decided to go "green" with my wrapping paper, so I cut open a paper sack and stamped it with Rubber Stampede Snowflakes stamp.  I made a matching tag for the candy bag and another kraft sack.  A clothespin was covered with a strip of the paper and a bow/button was hot glued on.

Contents of the Bitty Bag:

Supplies:
Stamps:  Stampin' Up-Polar Pals, Rubber Stampede-Snowflakes, Joann Fabrics-Alphabet
Ink:  Mememto, Versacolor, Tim Holtz Tea Dye
Paper:  Unknown designer paper, Recollections, Bazzill
Misc:  Clothespin, Bitty Bag, buttons, baker's twine, paper sacks, hot glue gun. pop up dots, white gel pen, Nestabilities, Liquid Applique, glitter spritz, Bic Pens

Well, one done and many more gifts to finish.......

Always In Style!

This is a card made using one of my favorite Stampin' Up sets, Pattern of Friendship. I paper pieced the ladies dresses and colored them with Copics. The rosette was made using The Cat's Pajamas Easy Rosette die. The layers of the card are sandwiched with foam tape. Sheer white polka dotted ribbon was tied around the top of the front of the card with two heart stick pins. The scallop border along the top edge of the card was made using the Sizzix Large Scallop die and the small scallop border was made using the My Favorite Things Die-Namics scalllop.

Supplies:
Stamps: Stampin' Up-Pattern of Friendship
Ink: Memento, Versafine
Paper: Wausau, Bazzill, My Mind's Eye, Crate Paper, Recollections
Misc: Ribbon, MFT Die-namics-Scallop, My Cat's Pajamas Die-Easy Rosette, paper punches, Copics, Sizzix Large Scallop border, foam tape, heart stick pins

I Love You Card and Nugget Tin

(Edit: I'm still learning the ins and outs of my new computer. I have to use a new editor for my pictures, so please bear with me as I try to edit the pictures.)

I never get tired of nugget tins, and I have a whole bunch in my stash. I'm trying to use up stuff, so I can buy more!

This is a quick little gift set you can make for any occasion. I used a lot of Martha Stewart products. The paper is from last year's Valentine pad. I stamped the sentiment on white cardstock, then punched it out. You could stamp directly on the doily, but I was afraid that I would screw it up! Thin ribbon was weaved in the doily. I punched out the little leaves and flowers and adhered them to the doily. Half pearls were added to accent the flowers and the card.

Supplies:
Stamp: Stampin' Up-I Love You
Ink: Versafine
Paper: Martha Stewart, Bazzill, The Paper Company
Misc: Paper punches, ribbon, doily, half pearls, nuggets, mint tin, pop up dots, nugget tin

Happy Harvest

Here is another idea for the little metal pails. I used the Stampin up Loads of Love and Loads of Love Accessories sets to make a quick tag. The truck is paper pieced and diamond glaze was applied to the tires. I filled the pail with mini pine cones and pumpkin scented potpourri. A battery operated tea light was placed in the votive cup. I cut the tag with the Nestabilities Labels One. This would make a "scent-sational" gift!

Supplies:
Stamps: Stampin Up-Loads of Love and Load of Love Accessories
Ink: Memento, Versafine
Paper: Cosmo Cricket, The Paper Company
Misc: Nestabilities, copics, ribbon diamond glaze, pop up dots, metal pail, battery operated tea light, votive cup, potpourri, mini pine cones

Welcome Baby Card Set

It seems everyone I know is having babies. I love making baby gifts so it all works out! The diaper bag is from Leigh O'Brien's Totally Tote-Bag, I just made it a little bigger to fit the cards. The onesie cards are from a tutorial by Lauren Meader and the dress cards are from a download at Paper Crafts Magazine by Debbie Olson. I added a pocket to the front of bag to accommodate a Ghirardelli Square. Each diaper bag hold six cards and envelopes. The cards are made with DCWV Nana's Nursery stacks. I used different paper for each one, so they are unique in their own way.

Supplies:
Stamps: Stampin'Up-Cuddles & Tickles
Paper: Core-dations, DCWV, Bazzill, Recollections, Vellum
Ink: Martha Stewart
Misc: Ribbon, white gel pen, paper punches, brads, embossing folder, Scor-Pal, Cropadile, sticky strip

I had to take the girl's diaper bag picture in my window, so excuse my screen! Every time I took the picture, it came out yellow. I need to figure out a better way to take pictures, some come out yellow and some do not. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.

Loads of Love

I started to post this last night, but I was having problems with the layout. It was getting late, and I had to finish my sister's birthday present. So, hopefully this will work this time! My sister and my mom recently went to a Stampin' UP party and I asked them to order me the Loads of Love Acessories. I just love the little pumpkins and the pups!

I made this card before I got the new set. The flowers, in the back of the truck, are paper pieced and popped up for extra dimension. I made the flower doodads with a paper punch, some ribbon, and rhinestones.

Supplies:
Stamps: Stampin' Up
Paper: Recollections, Bazzill, Imaginsce
Ink: Memento
Misc: Copics, ribbon, rhinestones, half pearls, pop up dots, ribbon, paper punch, corner rounder

Pattern of Friendship

Since I've always loved sewing, I knew I had to have this stamp set. Of course, I never bought it when it was in the catalog, so after months of searching, I finally found it. But, that was nearly a year ago, and I'm finally getting around to using it! I've been admiring this paper at my favorite local scrapbook shop, it has always reminded me of my Grandma Maggie. She had an amazing talent for sewing and quilting. I have her old 1956 Singer Sewing Machine that I use, it still works great. I was going to save this card for Mother's Day, as a special tribute to her, but I just couldn't wait.

Supplies:
Stamps: Stampin' Up-Pattern of Friendship
Paper: DCWV, Graphic 45, PTI
Misc : Nestabilities, Copics, snail adhesive, buttons, Memento Black Tuxedo Ink
