The Earth Laughs in Flowers

Hello everyone!  Just sharing a Pinterest inspired card that I made this morning.  I actually have a day off from both of my jobs, the sun is shining and the weather is cool.  This card actually took me longer than it should have, but I'm watching some Twilight Zones that I "dvr-ed" at the same time.

Supplies:
Stamps:  Papertrey Ink-Green Thumb
Ink:  Memento
Paper:  Bazzill, Crate Paper, American Crafts
Misc:  Washi tape, tags, button, baker's twine, pop up dots, Papertrey Ink Beautiful Blooms Die and Circle Die

Catered Crop Star Gazing Recipe Swap

Today, I am participating in the Catered Crop Star Gazing Recipe Swap.  I made this card for my brother, for his birthday.

It was pretty easy to make, just a little stamping some die cutting and viola, it's done!  I always have problems with making masculine cards, so I am pleased that this one didn't come out "too girly".

Supplies:
Stamps:  My Favorite Things-Big Greetings
Ink:  Versafine
Paper:  October Afternoon, Bazzill
Misc:  My Favorite Things Star Die-Namics, Papertrey Ink Alphabet Die, pop up dots

Heart Doily Treat Sacks

Here are some super quick heart doily treat sacks that I made.  All I did, was stitch around the doily with my sewing machine.  I left an opening about 3 inches long, stuffed them full of M&M's and then stitch the opening closed.  A quick simple tag tied on finished the project.

I originally wanted to fill them with the cinnamon red hearts, but I couldn't find them anywhere!  I went to Target, Walmart, Walgreens, CVS, Publix, and Party City and no one had them.  But, the plain M&M's did the trick just fine.

Supplies:
Stamps:  Stampin Up-Sentiment
Ink:  Memento
Paper:  American Crafts, Bazzill
Misc:  Heart doilies, ribbon, Martha Stewart doily tags, paper punches, glitter, pop up dots

Davey Turns 21!

My nephew/favorite Soldier turns 21 this week!  I can't believe how old he is!  I decided to make him a special Soldier birthday card to commemorate this special day.  He is currently stationed in Texas doing his training.

My Soldier stands 9 inches tall.  He was made with a variety of paper punches and Nestabilities.  The cupcake is one of my favorite Sizzix red dies.  The 21 was made using the Cricut Sweet Treats Cartridge.

Supplies:
Stamps: My Favorite Things-Big Greetings (inside card)
Ink:  Versafine
Paper:  Bazzil, Karen Foster Designs, Colorbok
Misc:  Paper punches, Nestabilities, pop up dots, black Sharpie pen, alphabet stickers, Sizzix Cupcake Die, Cricut Sweet Treats Cartridge

Here are two more Valentine's I made.  I really like this paper pad from American Crafts.  It's called "With Love".  I've been using it a lot!  I got it at Target.

Lace Heart

This is one of those cards that I really wish you could see in person.  The pictures do not due them justice at all.  I made some free standing lace hearts on the embroidery machine.    The card base is 5 1/2 inches by 5 1/2 inches, so the heart is a pretty good size.  I made some little paper roses, added some pearl spray and some paper punched leaves.    I also realized that I don't really have very many Valentine's Day stamps, so I have to keep using this little from the Papertrey Ink set, Friendship Jar Spring Fillers.

Here is a close up:
