Pack A Picnic for your Teacher!

Say thanks to your favorite teacher with this great picnic basket. The basket template is from Papertrey Ink, Lauren Meader's, My Timeless Templates. I made the larger basket and filled it with some teacher goodies. There is a set of four cards, a note pad, some crayons (in case she gets bored this summer!), pens, candy and some popcorn. The sentiment is computer generated. For those of you that have male teachers for your children, this can easily be adapted. The stamp is a digital stamp from Sweet 'n' Sassy, and there is also a boy, School Boy Seth.

This would also be perfect for the first day of school, just in case you want to get an early start for next fall.

Supplies:
Stamps: Lizzie Anne Designs-School Days & Sweet 'n' Sassy Designs-School Girl Sally
Template: Pack A Picnic-My Timeless Templates at Papertrey Ink
Paper: DCWV, Recollections, Bazzill
Ink: CTMH
Misc: Nestabilities, ribbon, brads, crop-a-dile, copics, pop up dots, assorted school supplies

From the Desk Of Butterflies

I spend a lot of time on Lauren Meader's blog, she has some really great ideals. For this card set, I used one of her My Timeless Templates, "From the Desk of", and one of her new stamp sets, "All A Flutter", from My Time Made Easy. Her designs provide many different options to create something for any occasion.

This card organizer box holds six cards and envelopes. There is even some extra room to hold a special surprise if you so choose. I totally cased the cards from Lauren!

Supplies:
Stamps: My Time Made Easy-All A Flutter
Paper: Bazzill, DCWV
Ink: Memento
Template: My Timeless Templates-From the Desk Of
Misc: Scor-pal, brad, sticky strip, copics, nestabilities, half pearls, MS paper punches, ribbon, prima flowers

Teacher Appreciation

With the school year wrapping up and teacher appreciation days, this is a super cute and quick little something for your child's teacher. The template is from Gem's Cottage. Check out her website, she has lots of fun digital images and templates. Instead of using the digital paper, I used some paper from DCWV Grade School Paper Pack. I used the pencil from the Lizzie Anne Designs School Days set to embellish the tag. The basket is made with an empty cereal box, so it's also a good way to recycle.

Supplies:
Stamps: Lizzie Anne Designs-School Days
Paper: DCWV, Bazzill
Template: Gem's Cottage
Misc: Soda, straw, popcorn, brads, cropadile, paper punch, pop up dots, empty cereal box, sticky strip

Rock of Love

While surfing on Splitcoast one day, I saw this really cool tri-fold card made by patsmethers using a Rubber Romance stamp. So, I cased it to make my Rock of Love Card. I've seen Poison twice in concert, both times totally cool.

The image is from the Hey, Chica set by BC Dzyns/My Favorite Things. I added the music note tattoo, it is from the Man's Ruin set by Bombshell. The sentiment is computer generated.

Supplies:
Stamps: BC Dzyns, Bombshell

Paper: Recollections, The Paper Company, Colorbok, Reminisce
Misc: Nestabilties, paper punches, rhinestones, guitar brads, music note ey

Pour Some Sugar On Me

I can't believe how long it has been since my last post. I've been crafting, but not taking the pictures! It started off with the bridal shower favors I made, no, I didn't take pictures, then it was an explosion box gift card holder that I didn't take any pictures of, and we won't mention how I helped my niece make paper punch cats or the card that I helped my mom with that I didn't take any pictures of either.

In addition to being a sports fan, I am a rocker chick. I love classic rock music and absolutely love going to concerts. My ipod is one of my best friends! Before the invention of the music downloads, I was the person who bought cd's for just one song. Now, if I wake up in the middle of the night and I need more Skynyrd, I just go to itunes! It's totally wicked awesome.

I was watching VH-1 one night, and Bret Michaels was hosting the 100 Most Popular Rock songs, (or whatever it was called) and it started me thinking about rock-n-roll cards. By the way, I love Bret Michaels, I so want to be his rock of love! So, here is my first one. For Jennifer's birthday last August (my niece), we went to see Poison, Cheap Trick, and Def Leppard. While she is only 12, she loves rock music and was totally psyched for this concert. So, in honor of one of my favorite Def Lep songs...

I used a digital stamp from Victoria Case. I paper pieced the tablecloth. I printed the lyrics out using the computer.

Supplies:
Stamp: Digital Stamp, Sexy Chef-Victoria Case
Paper: Bazzill, Papertrey Ink, Moxie
Misc: Copics, paper punch, pop up dots, nestabilities, glitter, ribbon

Flower Garden Gifts

If you are still contemplating what to give that special Mom for Mother's Day, here is another last minute project for you. All of the stuff in this great gift set are from the $1.00 spot at Target! The box, seeds, soap, and flower pots were only $5.00. What a bargain! As usual, I was inspired by Lauren Meader's seed packet covers and flower pot covers. I just traced the labels onto the cardstock, added a little ribbon and some homemade flowers and viola! The flowers and leaves were punched out and then scored them for added dimension. Any of these items would also make great party favors for a shower or garden party.

Supplies:
Paper: DCWV, Bazzill
Misc: Paper punches, ribbon, pop up dots, nestabilities, mini flower pots, seed packets, hand soap, flower box, scor-pal

Welcome Baby Card Set

It seems everyone I know is having babies. I love making baby gifts so it all works out! The diaper bag is from Leigh O'Brien's Totally Tote-Bag, I just made it a little bigger to fit the cards. The onesie cards are from a tutorial by Lauren Meader and the dress cards are from a download at Paper Crafts Magazine by Debbie Olson. I added a pocket to the front of bag to accommodate a Ghirardelli Square. Each diaper bag hold six cards and envelopes. The cards are made with DCWV Nana's Nursery stacks. I used different paper for each one, so they are unique in their own way.

Supplies:
Stamps: Stampin'Up-Cuddles & Tickles
Paper: Core-dations, DCWV, Bazzill, Recollections, Vellum
Ink: Martha Stewart
Misc: Ribbon, white gel pen, paper punches, brads, embossing folder, Scor-Pal, Cropadile, sticky strip

I had to take the girl's diaper bag picture in my window, so excuse my screen! Every time I took the picture, it came out yellow. I need to figure out a better way to take pictures, some come out yellow and some do not. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.

There's No One in the World like my Grandma

I made this card in honor of my Dad's mother, my Grandma Curtis. My Grandmother wore brightly colored mu mu's and bright orange lipstick. One of her passions was genealogy, she travelled all over the world to find our ancestors. Grandma had this bright pink luggage. When she would come to visit us in Massachusetts, her suitcases were easy to find at the airport! When I saw this stamp set, I immediately thought of Grandma Curtis. She loved her family and especially her pets. There is nor ever was someone like my Grandma, she was an all around class act. I'm going to send this card to my Dad for Mother's Day.

I paper pieced her dress. To simulate the hard pink suitcase, I paper pieced it with pink cardstock then covered it with diamond glaze. The buildings are also paper pieced and I sponged the clouds on the sky with white ink.

Supplies:
Stamps: My Favorite Things
Ink: Memento, CTMH
Paper: Recollections, Bazzill,DP from Michaels (I don't remember the company!)
Misc: Copics, pop up dots, rhinestones, diamond glaze, corner punch
