Paper Punch Sweethearts!

A few more Valentine's Day Cards to share.  This time, I decided to do a little paper punching.  My last few paper punch peeps have been wearing pants (astronaut, cowboy, cowgirl), so this time I went with some little dresses.

Stamps:  Papertrey Ink-Friendship Jar Spring Fillers
Ink:  Memento
Paper:  Bazzill, American Crafts
Misc:  Paper punches, baker's twine, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Embossing folder, glitter, chalk, black Sharpie pen

Yay, More Valentines!

Here are two more Valentine's that I finished.  I decided to make a "tall" card, it's always good to try something different.  The designer paper (underneath the hearts) is actually from a Christmas Bo Bunny pad that I had!  It really didn't look "Christmasy", so I think it worked out just fine.

The hearts were cut using Nestabilities and I just adhered scraps of the dp underneath the heart "holes".

Supplies:
Stamps:  Hero Arts-CL498
Paper:  Bazzill,  DCWV, Bo Bunny
Ink:  Versafine
Misc:  Buttons, Heart Nestabilities, red Sharpie pen

Yay, Valentines!

I made some Valentine's Day Cards while I was watching the Law & Order: SVU marathon today, (alternating with resting on the couch).

This is one of my many Pinterest inspired cards:

Pinned Image

I'm pleased with the way my card came out.  I decided that I would make two of each card, it is just as quick to make one as it is two.  I did (for the first time) make my own glitter hearts.  I had seen a tutorial on Papertrey Ink at Christmas time, and I never got around to trying it, so I decided to try it with hearts.  I just punched the hearts out of the cardstock, and ran it through my Zyron, then sprinkled glitter onto them, easy peasey!

Supplies:
Stamps:  Papertrey Ink-Friendship Jar & Friendship Jar Spring Fillers
Ink:  Versafine, Memento
Paper:  Bazzill, Basic Grey
Misc:  Doily, glitter, Zyron, pop up dots, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Embossing Folder, baker's twine

Happy Birthday, Mom

Hi everyone!  I had my surgery on Wednesday and I have been resting the last few days.  Today, I decided I try and sit at my craft table and finish the birthday card for my Mom.  We won't mention it, but her birthday was on the 19th, but I have been a little busy!  She actually prefers it when her cards/gifts are late, that way she can spread out her birthday festivities!

This is a three paneled card, obviously!  I used a variety of dies, stamps, and paper punches to make this card.

To add extra dimension, I double stamped, and added lots of extra layers with pop up dots.

Liquid Pearls were used to make the sprinkles on the cupcake.

I used a heart stick pin to make the banner, where I signed my name.

Supplies:
Stamps:  My Favorite Things-Hello Cupcake, My Balloon, Holly Girl, Big Greetings
Paper:  Bazzill, MME Allspice, Jillibean Soup
Ink:  Memento, Versafine
Misc:  Flower brads, liquid pears, heart stick pin, Sizzix Fence Die, Papertrey Ink Alphabet Die, My Favorite Things Die-Namics Clouds, Grass, Copics, pop up dots, The Cats Pajamas Cut Ups Pennants Die

For the past two days, while I've been alternating between laying on my bed and the couch, I've been scouting for Valentine's ideas on Pinterest.  I'm excited about making some, so I think I will start tomorrow since I can sit at my table again.

Baby Shower Favors

Hello everyone, sorry I've been gone for so long!  I hope you all had a nice holiday.  My nephew, Dave, came home from the Army, so it was so awesome to see him.  I can hardly believe that I diapered that boy when he was a baby, and now he is this "a lean mean fighting machine!".

I've also been working a million hours a week at my two jobs!  I'm having my surgery next week, and I'm trying to make extra cash as I will be out of work for a week.  I'm currently in the middle of 15 days straight with no day off! This, of course, severely cuts into my happy crafty time.

I did get this order of baby shower favors done.  I've made favors before this lady, she works with my sister.  She ordered 25 water bottles and 25 candy favors.

The candy favors were made by making a small onesie tent style card.  Inside are two Hershey Nuggets.

Supplies:
Stamps:  Papertrey Ink-Just The Ticket
Ink:  Versafine
Paper:  Crate Paper, Bazzill, Dear Lizzy
Misc:  Water bottles, Hershey Nuggets, paper punches, Nestabilities, powder drink mix, baker's twine, pop up dots

Purple Pedicure Presents!

This was a special request from Kelsie's mom, Valerie.  She watches two little girls and needed something to surprise them with this Christmas.  She said that purple was their favorite color.  I used this template to make the boxes, I just made two of them to hang back to back.

Here is the side/back view:

To personalize each gift, I cut the Open Oval Scallop My Favorite Things Die-Namics Die.  I stamped the stems using Papertrey Ink Blooming Button Bits Set, then glued some of my crocheted hearts onto the stems.  Using some alphabet beads, I spelled each of the girls' names on to the front.  I filled the boxes up with various items every little girl needs for pretty fingers and toes!

Supplies:
Stamps:  Papertrey Ink-Blooming button Bits
Ink:  Memento
Paper:  Bazzill
Misc:  Crocheted hearts, alphabet beads, pop up dots, ribbon, Scor-Pal, My Favorite Things Open Oval Scallop Die-Namics Die, naill polish remover, mani/pedi supplies

Tea Light Snowman Ornament

It's been cloudy and overcast in Central Florida for days now.  So, unfortunately, my pictures are kind of dark.

I had some battery operated tea lights that I bought (who knows when!) and decided to make some ornaments.  I love snowman, not the snow, so I made these up using some paper punches.  I used a Bic Marker to color the nose orange.  Please don't notice that the buttons are crooked!  Oh well, that's how you tell he is homemade!

Supplies:
Paper:  MME, Bazzill
Misc:  Battery operated tea lights, baker's twine, pom poms, paper punches, white gel pen, pop up dots, ribbon, black rhinestones, ribbon, buttons, Bic pen

Warm Wishes

I cut some skates out with my Cricut Winter Woodlands Cartridge and decided to make a winter card with them.  Since  the skates are kind of fat, with the pompoms and baker's twine, I thought a bag would be a better way to give the card.  I also made a matching tag.

Here is a close up of the tag:

Supplies:
Stamps:  Hero Arts-Warm Winter Wishes To You
Paper:  Authentique, Bazzill
Ink:  Versafine
Misc:  Clothespin, pop up dots, baker's twine, pompoms, pearls, snowflake paper punch, paper sack, button, black sharpie, Nestabilities

"My Type" Christmas Cards

These were really easy and fast cards that I whipped up.  I cased them from a very talented stamper when I was surfing on the internet.  Unfortunately, I can't find her post, so I can't give her the credit!

I did change a few little things.  She had used the Martha Stewart Bow Paper Punch, since I don't have that one, I just substituted a little ribbon bow.  Her sentiment was more of a "typed" sentiment, again I didn't have that stamp, so I just substituted a Papertrey Ink stamp.

Supplies:
Stamps:  Hero Arts-My Type and Papertrey Ink-Friendship Jar Holiday Fillers
Ink:  Versafine, Memento
Paper:   Bazzill
Misc:  Ribbon, Martha Stewart Fir Paper Punch

Snowflake Gift Set

Today, I decided to make a gift set with some of my embroidered snowflakes.  There is bag with a matching tag, a pillow box with Hershey Nuggets and a paper pouch with a special surprise tucked inside.

The gift bag was made using the Papertrey Ink Front & Center #1 Die.  The tag was made using the My Favorite Things Scallop Die-Namic.  The tag was Pinterest inspired.  I added a little machine stitching to both the tag and bag for a little added dimension.

Tag close up:

Next up is the paper pouch.  Again, I added a little extra dimension with some machine stitching (of course, you can't see it!) and the belly band was run through the crimper.

I cut a pillow box using the Sizzix Pillow Box Die.  I stamped some snowflakes on with White Stazon Ink.

Supplies:
Stamps:  Papertrey Ink-Holiday Button Bits and Tiny Treats Christmas
Ink:  Versafine, Stazon, Color Box
Paper:  Recollections, We R Mememory Keepers
Misc:  Buttons, crochet thread, embroidered snowflakes, crimper, paper punches, white pearls, Papertrey Ink Front and Center Die #1, Sizzix Pillow Box Die, My Favorite Things Scallop Die-Namics, paper doily, paper sacks, sewing machine, pop up dots, tulle

Happy Hanukkah Card Sets

I've been working on some Hanukkah card sets using the Papertrey Ink Menorah Medley Die set.  For the first set, I used the menorah die.  I totally cased this card from Nichole Heady.  I didn't have the Mega Mat Stack #3 Die, so I kind of improvised using my Cricut.

The second set, I just used the Star of David die.  You can't see it in the picture, but the Star is a "window", I cut all the way through the card front.  It looks really pretty standing up.

I have a hard time finding pretty Hanukkah paper.  For these cards, I improvised and used the Teresa Collins Everyday Moments pad.  It has a variety of blue and yellow prints and it's very pretty.

Supplies:
Stamps:  Studio G-Happy Hanukkah
Ink:  Versafine
Paper:  Teresa Collins, Recollections, Echo Park
Misc:  Papertrey Ink Menorah Medley Die set, pop up dots

Christmas Cards and Snowflakes

Happy day after Thanksgiving!  I hope everyone had a nice holiday.  I actually got to go to my Mom's house yesterday.  My work schedule has prohibited me from seeing my family the last few years, but this year I got to go, so bonus for me!

My move and job transfer has been a difficult one.  Unfortunately, as with many Americans, I've been having financial and medical struggles.  I had to get a part time job to help cover my expenses.  I'm trying to get as much crafty time as I can, and have been making Christmas cards to sell in my Etsy shop.

Here is the first set I've made.

This is actually a set of four (4) card with envelopes.    I don't have time to list them in the shop at this moment, as I have to hurry and get ready to go to one of my jobs!

Supplies:
Stamps:  Papertrey Ink-Holiday Button Bits, Hero Arts-CL498
Ink:  Memento
Paper:  Bo Bunny, Recollections
Misc:  Baker's twine, paper punches

While I was at my Mom's yesterday, I told her I needed an easy crocheted snowflake pattern.  She, of course, had the brilliant idea of whipping some off with the embroidery machine.  Well, you will never guess what she did!  After we downloaded a pattern, made one, she offered to let me borrow one her machines to make some at home!  Can you even believe it!!  I was so excited.  So, this morning, I made a whole bunch of snowflakes.  One of the great things about this machine is you can do something else while it's running!

Here is the machine:

Here are the snowflakes I made this morning.  I still need to clip some threads.  I can't wait to make up some cards, tags, and gift bags with these!
