One More Day To Valentine's Day!

It's almost Valentine's Day!  I felt like I needed to make a card with some chocolate tucked inside.  So, using my Cricut, Nestabilities, and a few paper punches, I got to work on this sweet girl.  The sentiment was made using Papertrey Ink Modern Upper Case Alphabet.  I cut each letter out four times, adhered them together, and then finished them up with a layer of Diamond Glaze on the top.

Supplies:
Paper:  MME, Bazzill, The Paper Company
Misc:  Cricut Create a Friend Cartridge, Papertrey Ink Modern Upper Case Alphabet dies, Nestabilties, Paper punches, pop up dots, small candy bar.

Four Days to Valentine's Day - Part 2

I love making these crochet hearts.  They are so quick and easy to make.  All I did to make this card was to cut a heart out of the paper with a Nestabilities Heart Die and then stamp the sentiment on the bottom.  Then I layered it onto the card base and stamped the stem/leaf combination.  To finish it off, I just glued the hearts on and viola!

Supplies:
Stamps:  Papertrey Ink-Flower Fusion #1 and Hero Arts CL498
Ink:  Papertrey Ink
Paper:  Recollections
Misc:  Crochet Hearts

Four Days To Valentine's Day!

These banners are not just for Valentine's Day.  They are perfect for dressing up any room or event.  I used the Cat's Pajamas Cut Ups Pennants 005 Die to cut out the pennants.  The bases are cut from white card stock and the pennants are cut out of burlap.  Then, I sewed extra large ric rac to connect all of the pennants.

This is one of those projects that is much prettier in person.  I must have taken a zillion pictures of these banners, both inside and outside, and these were the best, but I am still not satisfied.

Supplies:
Paper:  The Paper Company, Recollections
Misc:  Cat's Pajamas Cut Ups Pennants 005 Die, burlap, Cricut Preserves Cartridge, extra large ric rac

Five Days To Valentine's Day!

I am really trying to keep my blog updated, it's/was my New Year's Resolution.  While I didn't do very well last month, I'm determined to "get it done"!  I have a stack of Valentine's Day cards that I made, so everyday this week, I will be posting one.

I used some of my favorite goodies to make this card.  The flowers are cut out using my Cricut and I dusted off my Martha Stewart Butterfly punch and punched out some tiny vellum butterflies. Out of my Papertrey Ink supplies, I used my heart border, Heart-2-Heart #11 stamp set, and the Fillable Frames #5 stamp set/die combination.  I made a few flags out of some washi tape that I had been saving for a rainy day.

Supplies:
Stamps:  Papertrey Ink-Fillable Frames #5 and Heart-2-Heart #11
Ink:  Papertrey Ink, Heidi Swapp
Paper:  American Crafts, Bo Bunny, Recollections, Bazzill

Be Mine

Happy Super Bowl Sunday!!  I am so excited, right now I am waiting for my sister.  It's our Annual Craft-A-Palooza Super Bowl Bash!  It's just the two of us, as we can get a little loud, eat until we are nauseous, and craft all day.  We also use language that our Mom doesn't appreciate and to quote her, "I didn't raise you two girls to be so nasty".  We won't mention that our Grandma could swear us all under the table, I guess it skipped a generation!  Again, we won't mention that "you girls" are 50 and 46!  Our last game we watched together, we played a drinking game with Diet Coke, and needless to say we missed part of the last quarter because we had to go to the bathroom, a lot!  We sure know how to party!

I've been down with a sinus infection that turned into bronchitis, yuck!  I've squeezed a few cards in between coughing  and blowing my nose.

Supplies:
Stamps:  Papertrey Ink-Blooming Bits and Friendship Jar Spring Fillers
Ink:  Versafine, Papertrey Ink
Paper:  Recollections, a scrap of some paper that I don't remember!
Misc:  Crochet thread, mini clothes pin, pop up dots, paper punch

Love You To The Core!

This is the perfect Valentine for your favorite teacher.  I think everyone knows that my favorite teacher is my sister/best friend in the whole world!

It's a pretty simple card.  It's hard to see, but the apple is actually stamped/cut out and put on the inside of the card so it shows though the circle that I cut out on the front?!  Does that make any sense at all?!  One of my favorite die sets to use, as of late, is the Dainty Bow Die-Namics from My Favorite Things.  I got it last year as a gift from my sister, and it's totally awesome.  Lately, I never seem to have the right color of ribbon on hand (I'm trying really hard not to buy new/more stuff) and if I do, I can never get my bows to look right.   This way, I have bows that match the card stock perfectly and they look great.

Supplies:
Stamps:  Papertrey Ink-Fruit Fusion Apple Stamp Set
Ink:  Papertrey Ink, Versafine
Paper:  Bazzill, American Crafts, The Paper Source
Misc:  My Favorite Things Dainty Bow Die Namics, Nestabilities

Ding Dong Valentines

I love Valentines Day, I think because I love candy!  Not only do I love candy, but I love chocolate, and that is a totally different food group.

Here is a cute, quick, inexpensive, and unique treat for all of your favorite Valentines.  The sentiment is computer generated.  Then, I stamped the "frame" from the Papertrey Ink Tag Its #1.  I punched that sucker out, backed it with a scallop Nestabilitities, and a few paper punched hearts added a finishing touch.

I bought the Ding Dongs at Target, and so far I've eaten four of them!  Oh well, I will have to buy another box before Valentine's Day.  I'ts a sacrifice I am willing to make to keep the economy going!!

Supplies:
Stamps:  Papertrey Ink:  Tag Its #1
Ink:  Papertrey Ink
Paper:  Recollections, Bazzill, American Crafts

Handmade With Love Gable Boxes

I feel absolutely lousy today.  A bad cold/flu is going around work, and it looks like it's my turn to get it.  So, I'm hoping that sharing some Valentine cheer will help me feel better!

I made some gable boxes (during Christmas!) and I finally got around to decorate them last weekend.  The boxes, big roses, and the leaves were all cut with my Cricut.    I wanted to give my boxes a little "heft", so they could hold a heavier treat inside.  So, I actually cut 2 of each piece and adhered them together.  Then, I used two Papertrey Ink Stamp Sets,  Heart-2-Heart #11 and Fillable Frames #5 for my sentiment.  A few paper punch flowers and butterflies, some tiny clothes pins, baker's twine and most important, some pop up dots and my boxes are ready to be filled with something sweet!

Supplies:
Sta;mps:  Papertrey Ink-Fillable Frames #5, Heart 2 Heart #11
Ink:  Papertrey Ink
Paper:  American Crafts, Recollections
Misc:  paper punches, baker's twine, half pearls, mini clothespins, Nestabilities, pop up dots, buttons, George & Basic Shapes and Tags, Bags, Boxes & More 2 Cricut Cartridges

3 Cheers for Pretty Nails!

I am constantly organizing/re-organizing my craft area, otherwise known as "Craft Central". I recently made a trip to Ikea (it's less than 2 miles from where I live) and bought another table.    I set it up in an "L" shape with my existing table.  Now, I have my Big Kick, Cricut, and my paper cutter all within in reach, and I only have to get up to refill my coffee or go to the bathroom!  I truly love making things, so having this space means the world to me.  If I'm not at work, I'm sitting at my table having a blast!  I've already picked out the next pieces of furniture that I am going to buy, as Craft Central is a work in progress.

So, while I was setting up my table, putting away the Christmas crafts, and re-organizing, I found some extra bottles of nail polish.  Since, it was the day after my Patriots won, in a very narrow, white knuckled, they are making my ulcer hurt game, I decided to use that bottle of polish and punch some paper!  One of the ladies at my Mom's knitting group is also from Massachusetts and she is also a die hard fan.  She is such a good friend to my Mom, and I wanted to make her something to let her know how grateful I am that she is part of my Mom's life.

I made her this little nail polish cheerleader!  While I was making this, I thought they would be perfect for a girls cheerleading squad or favors for a party.  After I punched and assembled her, I attached her to the nail polish with some Scotch Reusable Tabs .  This way you can remove the cheerleader from the bottle without ripping her.

This is a side view:

Supplies:
Paper:  Recollections, Bazzill
Ink:  Memento
Misc:  Nail polish, pop up dots, paper dots, black Sharpie pen, Scotch Reusable Tabs, Mama Elephant Dainty Bow Die

A Sweet Valentine Story

Remember the old Life Savers Sweet Story Book?  I used to love them, we always brought them for the Christmas gift exchanges in elementary school.

Over the years, they have changed a bit.  I bought one after Christmas, while they were on sale.  It was a little disappointing, when I opened it up, they now only have candy on one side of the book.

I thought I could "trick" it up a little with a little Beth-A-Palooza flair.  Since Christmas is over, I decided to make my sweet story book for Valentines Day.

Using my Scor-Pal, I made my "book".  I used the original packaging as the template.  The image is Pure Innocence I Luv You With All My Heart.  I colored her with Copics and paper
pierced her dress and the big heart Valentine that she is holding.  Diamond Glaze was added to the heart to give it a little bit of texture.

This is the inside of my sweet story.  The sentiment is from the same PI set.

Supplies:
Stamps:  My Favorite Things-Pure Innocence I Luv You With All My Heart
Ink:  Memento, Versafine
Paper:  Neenah, American Crafts, Bazzill
Misc:  Copics, Diamond Glaze, paper punches,  pop up dots, My Favorite Things Scallop Oval Die-Namics Die, Life Savers Sweet Story Book, Scor-pal, ribbon

Santa...I Know Him!!!

It seems I did manage to take a few pictures of some items from my "work/craft-a-thon"!

I made some  paper punch Santa faces, added a computer generated sentiment, and viola, you have Santa-Tizers!

Using those same faces, I made some Santa nail polishes.  I just added little belts made out of cardstock and some tiny buttons.

Supplies:
Paper:  Recollections
Misc:  Paper punches, baker's twine, buttons, Cuttlebug Swirls Embossing Folder, black Sharpie pen, pop up dots, pom poms

Have a safe and happy New Years Eve!

Warm Birthday Wishes Tag

What the heck happened to Thanksgiving?!  I can't believe that I haven't posted in almost 2 months, really?!  I've been crafting/creating my life out, too.  I wish I had pictures to show, but, of course, I was so pressed for time that I didn't take any.  We won't mention that my blog got hacked, and it wouldn't let me access to it unless I purchased a domain for it?!  Thanks to two nice gentlemen from Google, I was able to fix it and not have to pay anything.

Let's see, I've worked Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.  For all of our great team members that worked that those days, I made small gifts to show how grateful we were that they came to to work on those days.  So, that would be anywhere from  45-60 people at our venue, multiply that times 4 holidays and that equals way too many to count.  I also did a small craft fair in early December.  The holidays are some of the busiest days for our us here in the tourist area of Central Florida.  Basically, I would get up early craft, go to work, come home, craft, go to bed and just repeat every day......  (Did I mention that I ride my bike to work every day and it's 6 miles each way?)

Additionally, I did some holiday baking.  I sent boxes of homemade treats to my Dad and Brother up in Massachusetts.  I did make some pretty neat tags with my Cricut for the goodies, and even kept an extra one that I will be posting.

Today, I made a tag for my Mom.  Her birthday is coming up, and she has been reminding us of it!  In our family, we are very proud of our ages and make no effort to hide them.  We love our birthdays!

Of course, I used two of my favorite companies, My Favorite Things and Papertrey Ink.  This tag was perfect to compliment a pretty bottle of hand soap from Bath and Body Works.  I just love that store and could spend lots of $$$ that I don't have in there!

Supplies:
Stamps:  Papertrey Ink-In The Meadow, My Favorite Things-Ice Princess
Paper:  MME, Neenah, Recollections
Ink:  Versafine, Memento
Misc:  Ribbon, sewing machine, pop up dots, rhinestones, Scallop Border Die-Namics, Papertrey Ink Snowflake Die from Winter Penguin Additions, Copics
