Santa Head Tutorial
Sorry it took me so long to do this tutorial. This way you can get a jump start on next years decorations! Yeah, right, I still am trying to get my craft table cleaned off of assorted Christmas items.
The beard is cut using the 3 inch scalloped circle Nestability. I embossed it using the swirls Cuttlebug embossing folder.
For the face, I cut a 1 3/4 inch circle of flesh colored paper. You can either glue it to the top of the white scallop circle or you can punch a hole in the white scallop circle with a 1 1/2 inch punch and adhering it to the back. The eyes are punched with a 1/2 inch punch. The nose is punched with a 5/8 punch. For the moustache, I used a five petal flower punch and cut off three of the petals. The punch I used is a Paper Shapers five petal flower punch and it's the big one.
For the hat, I cut a triangle of red paper. The long edge is going to be 3 inches and the two short edges are going to be two inches each. The brim is a strip of glitter cardstock 3 1/4 x 3/4 inches. I used a corner rounder on the corners. The pom pom on his hat is 3/4 inch circle punched out of glitter card stock.
I added a little white gel pen to the eyes, some pink chalk to his cheeks and a pop up dot under his nose for a little dimension.
I hope this tutorial makes sense!
Thanks for stopping by,
Beth
